Title : When I Was Young
Version : v1.0 - April 10th 2000

Description : This story takes places some years before the game
does; Lo Wang is a bad boy and he is working for
                   local mafia.

Two sections of the local chinese mafia battle to
gain control of the city. One clan is led by
Mr Takagy, the other one by Mr Fu Kung.
You are member of Mr Takagy's clan, and got to do
                   the dirty jobs for him...
(you might also have to deal with the police)

note: - Orange Ninjas are 'friends'
                         - Violet Ninjas are 'important' guys (like
                           Mr Takagy himself)
                         - Green Guardians are policemen
Don't worry, everything should be clear while playing ;)

How to play WIWY : Copy all files from this zip to your SW dir,
You should have 6 files: wiwy.txt (this txt file)
                                            wiwyhelp.txt (trouble shooting)
                                            wiwy.grp (game files)
                                            wiwywin.exe (win launcher)
                                            wiwy.com (dos launcher)
                                            wiwy.pxx (launcher image)

                   Under DOS, use wiwy.com
Under W95/98 you can use either wiwy.com or wiwywin.exe
note : Win users I strongly encourage you to play under
DOS to avoid all known 3D/water/sound crashes

wiwy.com (or wiwywin.exe under W95/98) creates all needed
files for the episode and removes them when you exit so
you never have 10000 files in your sw dir.

wiwy.com will accept any of the standard Shadow Warrior
parameters as well as one new command, the /C which will
launch a WangBang game. The /C parameter can be combined
                   with standard SW parameters.
                     ex: wiwy.com /C -map wiwy_1.map
                     [maps are named wiwyXX, XX from 01 to 09 + 05b & 06b]

                   ---------------------------------------------------------
If you are running Windows 98, you should better play in
DOS mode because Windows 98 likes to make the game crash.
If the game crashes will running under Windows try again
in DOS mode, if it still hangs you got a problem... :-)

19.12.1998: v1.0 demo
04.04.2000: v1.0 BETA FULL VERSION
10.04.2000: v1.0 FULL VERSION

Yes, incredible ! WIWY took nearly 2 years to get done... aaah.. that's
because I played and designed Half-Life & Team Fortress Classic maps at
the same time... see my homepage for more (http://get.to/yb)

============================================================================
============================================================================

-- Construction --

Base : scratch
Build time : nearly 2 years... but real build time must be more
                        like 3-4 monthes I think
Editor(s) used : Shadow Warrior Build for the maps /
                        Editart to import new arts.

Build "visual info" : no colored ST1 this time

difficulty settings : - easy actors are horizontaly shrinked
                        - medium actors are normal sized
                        - hard actors are horizontaly stretched
                        - very hard actors are stretched in both ways

Spawning actors are smaller, but the difficulty setting can still be seen.

-- known problem with the launcher prog (wiwy.com)

The launcher is no longer compatible with either of the two UK registered
versions of Shadow Warrior. If you have a UK version of Shadow Warrior you
can download the original SW.EXE (US version) from the PROASM website at :
 ftp://venus.dbn.lia.net/users/bens/public/swusa.zip

Once you have the original SW.EXE there should be no problem with WIWY.

That was it... WIWY is my latest and last work for Shadow Warrior, hope you
enjoy it. PLEASE SEND ANY COMMENTS YOU MAY HAVE (wiwy@xblast-center.com)
